Behind the scenes video + Vanessa Hudgens and John Hamm interviews.

Go behind the scenes of epic action fantasy ‘Sucker Punch,’ starring Emily Browning, Jon Hamm and Vanessa Hudgens, in this ET exclusive first look.

Vanessa says of the explosive and stylistic film, “It’s just such a wild ride. And I think the entire movie people are just going to be constantly taking hits to the face.”

For his part, “Mad Men” star Jon promises, “People think that they’re coming for one movie and they get a completely different experience — that’s a sucker punch.”

‘300’ and ‘Watchmen’ director Zack Snyder once again whips up a frothy mix of vivid action and surreal fantasy as Emily Browning uses her vibrant imagination to attempt an escape after she is institutionalized by her wicked stepfather. Carla Gugino, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone and Jamie Chung also star.

‘Sucker Punch’ blasts into theaters on March 25.

Later this month, Warner Bros will release Zack Snyder’s latest action flick Sucker Punch. It’s like Charlie’s Angels but with two extra girls, more action, and some gore. The studio is ramping up their marketing campaign by releasing a new animated trailer for the film. It’s called The Trenches and it features original animation from Ben Hibon.

The Trenches was inspired by the world of Sucker Punch. The tone is the same and the film’s stars make a cameo towards the end of the video. It’s like a live action graphic novel!

The video tells the story of a soldier who is killed in action during World War II. He’s rehabilitated and turned into a cyborg that’s programmed to stop the girls at any cost. It’s kind of like what happened in RoboCop but without the good intentions. We see the solider battling his old memories of family and happiness while in the field.

At the end of the short, we see the emergence of the Sucker Punch team from the POV of the mechanical soldier. They’re accompanied by music that sounds similar to the score from Inception, which is a nice addition. Does The Trenches make you feel sympathetic towards the enemy?
